LH Tuner
LH Tuner combines precise instrument tuning with a flexible reference-tone generator. It supports a wide range of acoustic and electric instruments, provides detailed pitch and input-level feedback, and extends beyond standard tuning through selectable temperaments, transposition, adjustable concert pitch, and direct frequency generation.
Precision Instrument Tuning
The tuner reports pitch with a stated resolution of ±0.001 semitone, equivalent to ±0.1 cent. Cent deviation, a note-wheel display, and a needle meter provide complementary ways to judge whether a note is flat, sharp, or centered.
LH Tuner is designed for instruments including piano, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, strings, brass, woodwinds, and timpani. A microphone input-level display helps the player check whether the incoming signal is strong enough for stable pitch detection.
Concert-Pitch Calibration and Transposition
Concert A can be calibrated from A4 = 430 Hz to A4 = 450 Hz. Transposition support makes the tuner suitable for instruments and performance contexts where displayed and sounding pitch differ.
Equal, Pythagorean, and Just Intonation
Equal temperament, Pythagorean tuning, and Just Intonation are available. The tone generator calculates note frequencies according to the selected temperament, allowing the app to serve as both a tuning tool and a reference for comparing interval systems.
20 Hz–20 kHz Tone Generator
The tone generator covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz with stated frequency precision to 0.01 Hz. Sine, sawtooth, triangle, and square waveforms provide different harmonic profiles for reference listening and pitch matching.
Classical and Custom Keyboards
Two keyboard layouts are included. The Classical Keyboard follows a piano-keyboard model, while the Custom Keyboard allows a specific frequency to be assigned directly, including pitches outside a conventional note layout.
Fine Pitch and Control Modes
The Fine control adjusts a generated note from −50 to +50 cents and displays the resulting frequency in hertz. Initialize returns the offset to zero. Rotary, horizontal, and linear control modes allow the knob interaction to match different playing and editing preferences.
Envelope, Noise Gate, and Level Feedback
Attack and release controls shape the amplitude envelope of generated tones. A noise gate with an adjustable threshold helps reduce unwanted background input during tuning.
Volume, octave selection, key-number display, keyboard-type shortcuts, output-level indication, automatic saving of changes, and initialization controls support repeated practice and setup.

LH Tuner supports Equal temperament, Pythagorean tuning, and Just Intonation.
Can the concert-pitch reference be changed?
Yes. A4 can be calibrated from 430 Hz to 450 Hz.
What is the Custom Keyboard?
The Custom Keyboard allows a specific frequency to be assigned directly, including pitches that do not need to follow a conventional piano-keyboard layout.
Which waveforms are available in the tone generator?
The tone generator includes sine, sawtooth, triangle, and square waveforms.
What is the tone-generator range?
The tone generator covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz with stated precision to 0.01 Hz.
Can generated notes be fine-tuned?
Yes. The Fine control adjusts generated pitch from −50 to +50 cents and displays the resulting frequency in hertz.
Which instruments can LH Tuner be used with?
It is intended for a broad range of acoustic and electric instruments, including piano, guitar, bass, strings, brass, woodwinds, and timpani.
