AI Neural-Network Motion Recognition
AI Motion Recognition is one of LH XYZ’s defining features. Based on Human Activity Recognition using smartphone sensor data, the system recognizes six tagged motion patterns: left-to-right sweep, right-to-left sweep, far-to-near movement, an upright forward quarter-circle gesture, vibration, and idle.
The motion-prediction tag values are sent to OSC receivers, allowing recognized movements to drive music, visuals, and other real-time interactive systems.
Six AI Motion Tags
Left-to-Right Sweep
Move the phone quickly from the left side of your body to the right side.
Right-to-Left Sweep
Move the phone quickly from the right side of your body to the left side.
Far-to-Near Movement
Move the phone quickly from a position farther from your body toward a position closer to your body.
Upright Forward Quarter-Circle
Keep the phone upright, move it quickly forward and away from your body, and trace a quarter-circle motion.
Vibration
Vibrate the phone.
Idle
Keep the phone still.
OSC Sensor Streaming
LH XYZ sends accelerometer and gyroscope data from the iPhone over a wireless network to any host application that supports the OSC protocol. The sensor data can be used to control music and other interactive parameters in real time.
A sensor-data sample rate of up to 200 Hz provides detailed accelerometer and gyroscope information for responsive control and analysis.
